Software for cargo operations, built and run in Ghana
Spanhaul is Techengy’s platform for freight from China to Ghana. It runs the warehouse, the load, the bill and the importer’s view of their cargo in one system. Each shipping company runs its own workspace on it.
Eight capabilities, in production today.
Receiving at the China warehouse
Each carton is received with its photo, weight and dimensions, matched to the packing list, and marked for follow-up when no match is found.
Packing lists read into rows
Packing lists, photographed or pasted, are read into clean rows. The company’s own rules are applied first; only lines they cannot read go to the AI reader.
Consolidation and loading
Packages are grouped into batches and shipments, with loading schedules, departure and arrival status, and reminders before a load date.
Billing and payment
Bills are built from each package, in cedis or dollars as the company chooses. Importers pay by card or Mobile Money through Paystack, or at the office. PDF bills, receipts and statements are available.
Messages to importers
Importers are told when their cargo is received, loaded, departed, arrives, clears customs and is ready. Messages go by SMS, and by WhatsApp where the company has connected it, in the importer’s own language.
Importer portal and tracking
Each importer signs in to see only their own packages and balance. A tracking page works from the tracking number, with no login.
Connections for other systems
A read and write API with scoped credentials, signed webhooks with a delivery log, and an audit record of every call, so a company can connect its own systems.
Separate workspaces for each company
Each shipping company has its own name, logo, colour, staff and data. Staff see only what their role needs, and no company sees another company’s records.
